He called her a “stupid high school girl.” Ouch. This from Dan, a sophomore in college looking down his nose at Kim – the cutest high school girl who just happened to be dual enrolled – thank you very much. She, on the other hand, was falling for Dan – hard. Even with the insult hurled her way.
It may have taken till nearly the end of the school year but guess who finally noticed just how wonderful that smart little high school girl was? Yep, Dan. After passing a few notes with phone numbers, the enevitable started to happen. Dan was falling – hard. Even with the insult he hurled her way.
Five years later, carrying a purple bouquet, a big smile, and tears in her eyes, Kim walked into the beautiful garden at The Cedar House Inn and married her college boy. And there was Dan, smiling and holding Kim’s hands, just knowing she was going to be his wife…forever.
I loved getting to know Dan and Kim, sharing their story, meeting some family, and capturing so many wonderful images. Thanks to innkeeper, Cyndi, The Cedar House Inn was glorious in its Christmas decorations, and just down the block, The Lightner Museum provided the always wonderful setting for their portraits. Adding his charm and grace to the ceremony was Reverend David Shokes.
Thank you Kim and Dan, for the privilege of being with you on your special day this holiday season. It was a joy! I wish you all the best.
Enjoy….Robin
