I’ve aswered the most commonly asked questions below, but if you don’t find your answers here, contact me and we’ll get you squared away.
What is your style of photography?
I shoot images that are fresh, clean, vilbrant and above all – elegant. They are modern yet classic. I won’t be giving you images that rely on post production fads or trends – I want your photos to look as fresh in ten years as they do today. I strive to capture your wedding in a cohesive style that reflects the theme of your day and the uniquenss of your personalities. When you review your competed wedding album you’ll see your wedding not merely as a collection of documented moments, but as art.

What can I expect if I book you for our wedding?
You will be booking a photographer who loves her work! Because of that love, I work with great enthusiasm and a true desire to capture your personalities in the images. As the story of your wedding unflolds, I anticipate the action, search for its details, and quietly watch for the tender moments. You will benefit from hiring a professional who’s energy and unique perspective assures you of top quality images.
Do you have an assistant?
Always. My husband, Ian, is either my second shooter or my lighting assistant. We work very well as a team, relying on years of experience and intuition.
Do you shoot formal portraits and candids?
Most of your wedding will be shot as candids – capturing your day as it unfolds naturally; your ceremony, your reception, your interaction with each other and your guests. But, every bride and groom wants that special photo of themselves alone and with their best friends and family. With that in mind, we capture beautiful portraits that everyone will love. This is usually done after the ceremony and before your reception. You may also opt for a “first look” – these are photos taken of just the bride and groom before the wedding ceremony. We recommend 1-2 hours for this private time between a bride and groom, allowing them to see each other alone and without distraction. After we’re finished shooting, time is allotted for freshening up before the ceremony.
How soon do we get to see our images?
In about 2 weeks I will have your edited images uploaded to an online gallery and on a DVD and ready for mailing. Album design, production, and shipping will take an additional 4-6 weeks. The blog will have your “artist’s choice” preview of watermarked images within 48 hours of your wedding. These images maybe copied and shared with friends and family through email or social media sites.
What do you charge and what do I get for the price?
A discription of our Wedding and Elopement Collections and starting prices may be found on the Investment page. However, I truly hope that you select a wedding photographer based more on a style that you love rather than solely on price. You have put so much thought, passion, and personality into your wedding. Make sure your photographer understands that your wedding day is just as much about the art of day as well as mere documentation.
You will be spending long hours with your photographer – naturally, his or her personality should be a great match with yours. You should feel confidence in and excitement about whomever you select.
What are your wedding albums like? What other products to you offer?
We design classically beautiful leather covered wedding albums, and then have them printed and bound by the finest album companies. Our leather covers come in a range textures and colors and may be engraved in silver or gold with names and wedding date. All of our albums come in their own padded box for protection and storage. Additional albums for parents or grandparents maybe ordered in wide variety or sizes and page numbers.
We also offer other products – gallery wrapped canvases, fine art prints, mini accordian albums, etc.
Do you travel?
Although, I shoot most weddings in Northeast or Central Florida, I am happy to accept destination weddings. Additional costs will naturally apply – travel, accomodation, food allowance, etc. I have photographed weddings and various events in Virginia, Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia, Arkansas, Alabama, Michigan, California, Vermont, New York, Colorado, France and the Bahamas.
The Engagement Shoot
Where do we shoot and for how long?
Forget the confines of a studio and the rigid stiff poses of yesterday. Today, portraiture is so much more than that; there’s the backdrop of a colorful wonderful world out there with all its beauty and uniqueness. I’ll work with you for 1-1 hours at a previously agreed upon location.
I love to work in a park or on the beach…just about anywhere. Perhaps you have a favorite place or an open backyard. I have a few favorite spots so we can discuss the possibilities when you book. Ideas? The rustic, the beautiful, the funky, the unique – it all helps build a memorable set of images. Hobbies, props, sports – yes, those can be included as well.

What do we wear?
Generally any solid color will look very nice. I love blue jeans, medium tone colored shirts, sundresses, hats, jean jackets, anything with texture. Avoiding stripes keeps things from looking too busy, and leaving the logo t-shirts at home is always a good idea – they will quickly date your photograph.
How soon do we see our photos?
I try to have all images burned to a DVD in 2-3 weeks time. If you’re in a time crunch for a particular photo (save-the-date card, gift, etc.), just let me know and I’ll work on it ahead of the others and deliver it as early as I can.
Do you belong to any professional organizations?
Yes, I belong to WPPI – Wedding & Portrait Professional International, the largest organization of its kind in the country. I attend their annual conference each year and continue to study with the greatest and most successful photographers in the world. I also hold membership in the Digital Wedding Forum; an organization for continuing education and excellence in wedding photography. On the local level, I am on the board of The St. Augustine Wedding and Event Association; an organization to help brides find the finest vendors serving north Florida.

Have you won any awards?
Yes, I won Weddingwire.com’s Bride’s Choice 2011 Award for outstanding service and excellence in the wedding industry.
